প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যের অপরূপ লীলাক্ষেত্র আমাদের রূপসী বাংলা। অপরূপ এই বাংলার রূপ-সৌন্দর্যের জালে অবশ্যই আপনাকে ধরা দিতে হবে। প্রাচীনকাল থেকেই এই বাংলার রূপ-রস উপভোগ করার জন্য বিভিন্ন পরিব্রাজকদের আগমনে ভরপুর ছিলো আমাদের এই বাংলা। বর্তমান সময়ের প্রেক্ষাপটেও বাংলাদেশ পর্যটকদের কাছে আকর্ষণীয় ভ্রমন স্থান হিসেবে বেশ জনপ্রিয়। ইউনেস্কো ঘোষিত ওয়ার্ল্ড হেরিটেজ সাইটেও জায়গা করে নিয়েছে বাংলাদেশের তিনটি ঐতিহ্যবাহী স্থান, যার মধ্যে রয়েছে পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে বড় ম্যানগ্রোভ বন সুন্দরবন। রয়েল বেঙল টাইগারের পাশাপাশি প্রায় ২৬০ প্রজাতির প্রাণিবৈচিত্র্যে ভরপুর এ বন বর্তমানে পর্যটন খাতের একটি বিশাল জায়গা দখল করে রেখেছে।
এশিয়া মহাদেশের দক্ষিণে অবস্থিত ছোট সবুজে ঘেরা একটি দেশ বাংলাদেশ। এর দক্ষিণে বিশাল বঙ্গোপসাগর ছাড়াও চারপাশে ঘিরে রয়েছে ভারতের সীমানা। পাহাড়, জলপ্রপাত, নদ-নদী, বনভূমি ও দ্বীপ নিয়ে বাংলাদেশ হয়ে উঠেছে পর্যটকদের কাছে আকর্ষণীয় স্থান। পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে দীর্ঘ সমুদ্রবন্দর ছাড়াও নানা রকম প্রাচীন স্থাপনার পূণ্যভূমি আমাদের এই জন্মভূমি।
চাঁদপুরঃ মেঘনা, ডাকাতিয়া, ধনাগোদা নদীর কোল জুড়ে প্রায় ১,৭৪০.৬ বর্গ কিমি বর্গাকার জমির উপর এক টুকরো সবুজ ভূখণ্ড চাঁদপুর। ইলিশের বাড়ি হিসেবে এটি সুপরিচিত। বিশ্বের পাঁচ প্রজাতির মধ্যে তিন প্রজাতির ইলিশই চাঁদপুর এ পাওয়া যায়। ধারনা করা হয়, মঙ্গলকাব্যের চাঁদ সওদাগর এর নাম থেকেই এর নাম চাঁদপুর হয়েছে। এর উপজেলা ৮টি দর্শনীয় স্থানের মধ্যে নুনিয়া দত্তের বাড়ি পূজা মন্দির, হযরত রাস্তি শাহ(রঃ) এর মাজার ও দিঘি, ইলিশ চত্বর ও চাঁদপুর স্টেডিয়াম বিখ্যাত।
বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিদের মধ্যে শিক্ষামন্ত্রি ও সাবেক পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রি ডাঃ দীপু মনি, বীর উত্তম মেজর অবঃ রফিকুল ইসলাম, বীর বিক্রম মোফাজ্জল হোসেন চৌধুরী মায়া, নাসির উদ্দীন সওগাত পত্রিকার সম্পাদক, নূরজাহান বেগম মাসিক পত্রিকার সম্পাদক, চিত্রশিল্পী হাশেম খান, জাতীয় অধ্যাপক ডাঃ রফিকুল ইসলাম এর মত আরো অনেক বিখ্যাত লোকদের জন্মভূমি হিসেবে চাঁদপুর জেলার রয়েছে আলাদা মর্যাদা ও সম্মান।
ভ্রমনপিপাসু মানুষদের জন্যে চাঁদপুর হতে পারে অন্যরকম তীর্থভূমি। ইলিশের স্বাদ গ্রহনের পাশাপাশি নৌ-বিহার ও জ্যোৎস্না আস্বাদন পর্যটকদের মনে এনে দিতে পারে নির্মল প্রশান্তি। প্রাচ্যের টেমস নদী খ্যাত ডাকাতিয়া নদীর সৌন্দর্য সত্যিই অপার্থিব। এছাড়াও ইতিহাস দর্শনীয় স্থাপনা ও কারুকার্য এই জেলাকে করে তুলেছে আরও নান্দনিক ও আকর্ষণীয়।
নোয়াখালীঃ সুপারি, নারিকেল, তরমুজ, বিস্তৃত চর, নকশি পিঠা আর সোনালি রোদের নিঝুম দ্বিপ এর দেশ নোয়াখালী। এই জেলার প্রাচীন নাম সুধারামপুর। এর আয়তন ৩৬০১ বর্গ কিমি। নোয়াখালীর ৯টি উপজেলার একটি হাতিয়া। যা একটি বদ্বীপ এবং মেঘনা চ্যানেলের সাথে সংযুক্ত। এর জেলার দক্ষিণ এ বঙ্গোপসাগর হওয়ায় জীব-বৈচিত্র্যর এক অপরূপ মিলন মেলায় পরিণত হয়েছে এর জেলাটি। নোয়াখালী জেলা প্রাচীন সমতট জনপদের একাংশ। তাই খুব স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই লোক-সংস্কৃতির এক পরিচ্ছন্ন ছাপ খুঁজে পাওয়া যায় এর জেলায়। নোয়াখালী অঞ্চল তাদের নিজস্ব ভাষা ও জামাই আদরের জন্যে সর্বাধিক সমাদৃত। ইতিহাস -ঐতিহ্যে পরিপূর্ণ এ অঞ্চল মৃতশিল্পের জন্য সুপরিচিত। নামকরা প্রত্নতত্ত্বসহ ঐতিহাসিক স্থাপনা ভ্রমণ প্রেমিদের কাছে এ জেলাকে করে তুলেছে আকর্ষণীয়। এছাড়া মুক্তিযুদ্ধের গৌরবউজ্জ্বল স্মৃতিতে ভাস্বর এই নোয়াখালী জেলা।বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ মোহাম্মদ রুহুল আমীন,সার্জেন্ট জহুরুল হক,ফখরুদ্দীন মুবারক শাহ, বঙ্গবীর শমসের আলী, আবদুল বাড়ি কবিরত্ন, মাওলানা ইমাম উদ্দীন বাঙ্গালা (রা) প্রমুখ এ জেলার কৃতি সন্তান। বিখ্যাত নিদর্শনের মধ্যে বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ রুহুল আমিন স্মৃতি জাদুঘর, অবিসাংবাদী নেতা মহাত্মা গান্ধীর ভ্রমণকে স্মরণ রাখার জন্যে গান্ধী আশ্রম, বজরা শাহী মসজিদ ও নিঝুম দ্বীপ সহ সারি সারি দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা সুপারি গাছ এ জেলাকে ভ্রমণপ্রেমি মানুষদের দিয়েছে এক ভিন্ন মাত্রা। তাই সবুজের স্বর্গে মুখ লুকিয়ে শান্ত জলে পা ভিজিয়ে প্রকৃতিকে অনেক কাছ থেকে উপভোগ করার জন্য আপনাকে ঘুরে আসতে হবে নিঝুম দ্বীপের দেশ নোয়াখালী জেলা।
ফেণীঃ বাংলাদেশের দক্ষিন-পূর্বে অবস্থিত সবুজে ঘেরা ছোট্ট জেলা শহর ফেণী।চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগের অন্তর্গত এই জেলার আয়তন ৯২৮.৩৪ বর্গ কি.মি। সুপরিচিত এই জেলার আনাচে কানাচে ছড়িয়ে আছে ইতিহাসের অসংখ্য উপাদান, রয়েছে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের গৌরবজ্জ্বল বিজয়ের সাক্ষী। একসময়ে দীঘির উপর এ অঞ্চলের নির্ভরশীলতার জন্য এ অঞ্চল দীঘির জনপদ হিসেবে বেশ সুপরিচিত। রাজাঝির দীঘি,বিজয় সিংহ দীঘি,সমশের গাজী দীঘি,কৈয়ারা দীঘি প্রভৃতি এই জেলার সৌন্দর্য আরও বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছে।এখানে আরও রয়েছে শত বছরের পুরোনো মসজিদ ও মন্দির, যেমনঃ শর্শদির ফখরুদ্দীন মসজিদ, ফুলগাজীর দোল মন্দির, ছাগলনাইয়ার সাত মন্দির প্রমুখ বিখ্যাত। ছুটির দিনে এসকল স্থানে ঘোরার পাশাপাশি সময় কাটানোর জন্যে ফেণী নদী, মুহুরী নদী, কহুয়া, সিলোনিয়া নদীর সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করতে বেড়িয়ে পরা যায় নৌভ্রমণে। সোনাগাজী উপজেলার মুহুরী সেচ প্রজেক্ট নান্দনিক স্থাপনার অন্যতম নিদর্শন। ফেণী নদী থেকে এর নামের উৎপত্তি হলেও পূর্বে এর নাম ছিলো শমশের নগর। খণ্ডলের মিষ্টি, ছাগলের দুধ এখানকার বিখ্যাত খাবার।মোট ছয়টি উপজেলা নিয়ে গঠিত এই জেলার সর্বমোট জনসংখ্যা ১৪,৯৬,১৩৮ জন (২০১১ আদমশুমারি)। স্বাক্ষরতার হার ৫৯.৬% । যাতায়াতের জন্যে রয়েছে সড়ক ও রেল যোগাযোগ সুবিধা। এই জেলার বরেণ্য ব্যক্তিদের মধ্যে উল্ল্যেখযোগ্য –কবি নবীনচন্দ্র সেন,ভাষা সৈনিক আব্দুস সালাম, গাজীউল হক, শহীদ বুদ্ধিজীবী ও সাহিত্যিক শহীদুল্লাহ কায়সায়, জহির রায়হান, সাংবাদিক সেলিনা পারভিন, নাট্যকার ও গবেষক সেলিম আল দীন প্রমুখ। অর্থাৎ ফেণী জেলা বহন করছে নানা ঐতিহ্য ও ঐতিহাসিক স্থাপনা যা এই জেলাকে ভ্রমণ প্রেমিদের কাছে করে তুলেছে আরও জনপ্রিয়।
