দিনাজপুরের আফতাবগঞ্জে প্রায় ৩০০ একর এলাকা জুড়ে গড়ে উঠেছে স্বপ্নপুরী। এখানকার প্রতিটি পিকনিক করার উপযোগী করে সাজানো আছে। আনন্দময় একটি দিন যাপনের জন্য একটি পিকনিক স্পটে যা যা থাকা প্রয়োজন এর সবই হয়েছে স্বপ্নপুরীতে। বিশেষ করে শিশুদের কাছে স্বপ্নপুরী দারুন আনন্দের। ঢাকা থেকে প্রথমে দিনাজপুর। দিনাজপুর থেকে কোস্টারে প্রথমে ফুলবাড়ী সময় লাগবে ১ ঘন্টা। এরপর টেম্পু কিংবা রিক্সায় স্বপ্নপুরী। ফুলবাড়ি থেকে এর দূরত্ব ১২ কিলোমিটার। স্বপ্নপুরীতে রয়েছে দেশি-বিদেশি নানা জাতের গাছগাছালি ফুলের সমারোহ। গোলাপ ও রজনীগন্ধা ফুল বাগানে বেড়াতে পারেন। চিড়িয়াখানায় রয়েছে হরিণ বানরসহ নানা প্রাণী। শিশুদের কাছে এ চিড়িয়াখানাটি খুবই আকর্ষণীয় ও আনন্দদায়ক।
এখানে আরো দেখবেন কৃত্রিম পাহাড়, বাঁশঝাড়, শালবাগান, তাল গাছের সারি। এ যেন সবুজের এক নান্দনিক উদ্যান। স্বপ্নপুরীর প্রবেশপথে রাস্তার দুধারে রয়েছে উঁচু দেবদারু গাছের সারি। গাছগুলো যেন ভ্রমণকারীদের সাদর আমন্ত্রণ জানাচ্ছে। পিকনিক স্পটের এখানে ওখানে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে বিভিন্ন প্রাণীর ভাস্কর্য। এগুলোর পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে ছবি তুলতে সবাই আনন্দ পায়।
পিকনিক কর্নার রয়েছে কয়েকটি। রান্নাবান্না এখানেই করা যাবে। বেড়ানোর জন্য কিংবা বসার জন্য রয়েছে প্রচুর জায়গা। খাওয়ার জন্য ছোট রেস্টুরেন্ট রয়েছে লেকের পাড়ে। কবি নজরুল এবং রবীন্দ্রনাথ ছাড়াও অনেক মূর্তি রয়েছে স্বপ্নপুরীতে। কৃত্রিম পাহাড়ের পাদদেশে গিয়ে আরো মুগ্ধ হবেন। এখানে ঘণ্টার পর ঘণ্টা বসে থাকতে ইচ্ছে হবে। শীতে দেশের অনেক জায়গা থেকে দলে দলে পিকনিক পার্টি আসে এখানে। সারাদিন স্বপ্নপুরী এলাকায় ঘুরে প্রচুর আনন্দ পাবেন। এখানে রয়েছে আধুনিক সুযোগ-সুবিধা সম্বলিত বেশ কয়েকটি রেস্টহাউস।

Swapnapuri is spread over an area of about 300 acres in Aftabganj of Dinajpur. Every picnic here is well-arranged. Everything you need to stay in a picnic spot for a colorful day has been in Swapnapuri. Swapnapuri is a great joy, especially for children. First from Dhaka to Dinajpur. It will take 1 hour from Dinajpur to the first coaster on the coaster. Then Swapnapuri in tempo or rickshaw. Its distance from Phulbari is 12 kilometers. Swapnapuri has a variety of local and foreign varieties of plants and flowers. You can walk in the garden of rose and tuberose flowers. The zoo has various animals including deer and monkeys. This zoo is very interesting and enjoyable for children.
Here you will see more artificial hills, bamboo bushes, orchards, rows of palm trees. It is like an aesthetic garden of green. There are rows of tall fir trees on both sides of the road at the entrance of Swapnapuri. The trees seem to be welcoming the travelers. There are sculptures of different animals standing here and there in the picnic spot. Everyone enjoys taking pictures while standing next to them.
There are a few picnic corners. Cooking can be done here. There are plenty of places to walk or sit. There are small restaurants on the shores of the lake. Apart from poets Nazrul and Rabindranath, there are many idols in Swapnapuri. Go to the foot of the artificial mountain and you will be more fascinated. I would like to sit here for hours. In winter, picnic parties come here in groups from many parts of the country. You will get a lot of pleasure by visiting Swapnapuri area all day long. There are several resthouses with modern facilities.
