Mountain garden

 
 

Forest feeding center located on the south bank of Kumar river at Mostafapur in Sadar upazila. About 70 years ago, a man named Bas Bihari Parbat built this garden on a 26 acre land. Apart from various types of plants, there are dighi here.

Raja Ram Temple

 
 

Ancient temple located at Khalia village in Rajoir upazila of the district. The temple was built in the seventeenth century by Raja Ram Roy, a prominent zamindar of Khaliya. The story of Ramayana-Greater India is told in terracotta in front of this temple.

Jhaudi Giri

 

Ancient archeological site located at Jhaudi in Sadar upazila of the district. According to the locals, it was built by the people of the Mug dynasty. About twenty inches thick brick - this installation is more than a hundred feet high above the masonry of Surki. The reason for its construction is not known.

Auliapur indigo factory

Auliyapur village in Chilarchar u n of Sadar upazila of the district. The builder of the factory was Dunlop, a British indigo planter of the British period. The 12-room factory is now in ruins. There is also a 30-foot-high brick-surki chimney. Not far from this blue factory is a war-torn village.

Here the followers of Haji Shariatullah, the leader of the Faraji movement, defeated the forces of Nilkar Dunlop in a face-to-face battle.

Sen Patir Dighi

In the middle of Amratala and Khatial villages of Kal Kini Upazila, there is a Dighi of Senapati covering an area of ​​about 25 acres. It is said that during the reign of Mughal Emperor Jahangir, a large army under the command of Subaddar Islam Khan stayed here for some time on its way to Dhaka. They dug this tank to meet the shortage of drinking water.

Charmaguria monkeys

Several monkeys have been living in Charmuguria village of Sadar upazila of Madaripur for a long time. At present about four hundred monkeys are divided into two groups and live in two places in the village. It is believed that the area was inhabited by humans before the monkeys. They do not cause any inconvenience to the villagers.

Shrine of Shah Madar

The shrine of Hazrat Shah Madar is situated on the banks of Kumar river in Madaripur town. Next to it is a mosque of that period.

Kazi Bari Mosque

300 year old Kazi Bari Mosque in Algi village of Bahadurpur union in Sadar upazila of the district. According to folklore, the mosque was established by a saint from Arabia for the purpose of propagating Islam.
