বাংলাদেশের উত্তরাঞ্চলে সীমান্তবর্তী জেলা হচ্ছে কুড়িগ্রাম। উত্তরে ভারতের কুচবিহার জেলা, দক্ষিণে গাইবান্ধা ও জামালপুর জেলা, পূর্বে ভারতের আসাম রাজ্য, পশ্চিমে রংপুর, লালমনিরহাট এবং ভারতের পশ্চিমবঙ্গ। ব্রম্মপুত্র, ধরলা, তিস্তা, দুধকুমার, ফুলকুমার, সোনাবুড়ি, হল হলি, জলচিরা, জিঞ্জিরা গঙ্গাধর হচ্ছে এ জেলার প্রধান নদী। উপজেলা গুলো হচ্ছে- কুড়িগ্রাম সদর, ভুরঙ্গামারীচর রাজিবপুর, উলিপুর চিলমারী, ফুলবাড়ী, রাজারহাট, নাগেশ্বরী, রৌমারী। কুড়িগ্রাম জেলার আয়তন হচ্ছে ২২৯৬ বর্গকিলোমিটার।

Kurigram is a border district in the northern part of Bangladesh. Cooch Behar district of India to the north, Gaibandha and Jamalpur districts to the south, Assam state of India to the east, Rangpur, Lalmonirhat and West Bengal of India to the west. Brammaputra, Dharla, Teesta, Dudhkumar, Phulkumar, Sonaburi, Hall Holi, Jalchira, Jinjira Gangadhar are the main rivers of the district. The upazilas are Kurigram Sadar, Bhurangamarichar Rajibpur, Ulipur Chilmari, Fulbari, Rajarhat, Nageshwari, Roumari. The area of Kurigram district is 2296 sq km.
