চট্রগ্রাম হতে প্রায় ১২২ কিলোমিটার দূরে খাগড়াছড়ি জেলা। এর উত্তরে ভারতের ত্রিপুরা রাজ্য, দক্ষিণে রাঙ্গামাটি ও চট্রগ্রাম জেলা, পূর্বে রাঙ্গামাটি জেলা এবং পশ্চিমে চট্রগ্রাম জেলা এবং ভারতের ত্রিপুরা রাজ্য। খাগড়াছড়ি জেলার মোট আয়তন প্রায় ২৭০০ বর্গকিলোমিটার। চেঙ্গী, মাইনী, ফেনী ও হালদা জেলার প্রধান নদী। জেলার উপজেলাগুলো হচ্ছে- খগড়াছড়ি সদর, দীঘিনালা, লক্ষীছড়ি, মহাছড়ি, মানিকছড়ি, মাটিরাঙ্গা, পানছড়ি ও রামগড়।

Khagrachhari district is about 122 km away from Chittagong. It is bounded on the north by the Indian state of Tripura, on the south by Rangamati and Chittagong districts, on the east by Rangamati district and on the west by Chittagong district and the Indian state of Tripura. The total area of Khagrachhari district is about 2600 sq km. The main rivers of Chengi, Maini, Feni and Halda districts. The upazilas of the district are Khagrachhari Sadar, Dighinala, Laxichhari, Mahachhari, Manikchhari, Matiranga, Panchhari and Ramgarh.
