Vardhanakuthi

Vardhankuthi is an ancient place located in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha district. The head office of the ancient Indrakpur Pargana was Vardhankuthi. It is known from history that Raja Gaurinath ruled the Vardhankuthi zamindari in 181. As the power of the British increased, the zamindari of Vardhankuthi came under the administration of Rangpur Collector and Ghoraghat. During the ten-year settlement of 1890, the rest of the zamindari became indebted. During the partition of 1947, Shailesh Chandra, the last king of this zamindari, migrated to India. As a result of the establishment of Gobindaganj College at Vardhankuthi in 1975, these ancient establishments have reached the brink of destruction day by day.

Naldanga zamindarbari is located in Sadullapur upazila of the district. Notable archeological sites of the zamindarbari are: Shaileshwar Temple, a small stone carved stone brought from Kashi by Surend Dev Sharma and Mrs. Shaibala Devi in ​​1334. Apart from this, there is a Shivling of Kastipathar in the white stone bull temple established in Bengal in 1260. There is also a dighi dug by Naldanga zamindars on an area of ​​about 52 acres.

Shah Sultan Ghazi Mosque

Shah Sultan Gazi Mosque at Dariapur in Gaibandha Sadar Upazila. In Bengal 1306, Pir Syed Wazed Ali of Calcutta recovered the ruins of this mosque from the jungles of Baharband Pargana and made necessary repairs. There are rumors about the involvement of a preacher or warrior named Shah Sultan Ghazi with this mosque. It is said that the tomb next to the mosque is his. It is known that during the renovation of the mosque, there was a black stone nameplate inside which the year of construction of the mosque was written as 1011. The inscription was later lost from the mosque. Every year at the beginning of Boishakh, a big Boishakhi fair is held in Mirs market.

The city of the great king

Viratnagar is located five kilometers west of Gobindaganj Upazila Sadar of the district. It is basically an ancient city buried under the ground. There is an ancient dighi next to this mound in Biratnagar. Every year in the month of Baishakh, a month-long fair is held here.

Bamandanga zamindarbarih

The ruined zamindar house is located in Bamandanga of Sundarganj upazila of the district. Bengal In this zamindar house established in 1252, the present ancient houses, kacharibari, temples, prisons etc. still bear witness to the good old days of this house.

Wooden Kali Mandir

The more than two hundred year old wooden Kali Mandir is located at Bharatkhali in Saghata upazila of the district. It is rumored that a wooden log floating in the Ghaghat river got stuck in front of Bharatkhali Hat. Thinking of ordinary wood, a person picks it up and strikes it with an ax, causing bleeding. When there was panic in the area, local zamindar Ramanikanta Roy got a dream order to worship it. Then the king established the Kalimandir with a wooden log and arranged worship. At the beginning of Boishakh, goats are sacrificed in front of this temple and Boishakhi fair is held.
