During the war of liberation Paikgachha was a camp in Khulna sub-sector. The Paikgachha Liberation War Museum was established in 198 in the upazila headquarters here. The museum has been enriched by various rare collections of the liberation war of the region. Next to the two-storey building of the museum there is a memorial built in memory of the martyrs of the liberation war.
There is a Rabindra Complex in Dakshindihi village of Fultala upazila of the district which is associated with the memory of poet Rabindranath Tagore. This is the father-in-laws house of the poet. On 9 December 183, the poet was married to Mrinalini Devi, daughter of Benimadhab, a Seresta employee of Jorasankos Thakurbari. In Dakshindihi, there is a two-storied house in memory of the poet. Sculptures of the poet and his wife have been placed in front of the house. In 1995, an initiative was taken to build a Rabindra Complex here.

A few ancient installations in the city
Khulna city has a long history associated with several ancient installations. Charlies house is near the railway station in the citys Saheb Bazar. Used as a railway restroom, the building is recognized as the first pucca house in the city. Charlies rebellious peasants were captured and tortured in the home of Mr. Nilkar Chotel. Apart from this, Khulna District Court Building, BL College Administrative Building, Coronation Hall, Lal Dalan, Shaheed Hadith Park and other important ancient structures and places of the city can also be visited.
Premkanan
Next to Khulna city is the Khanjahan Ali Bridge over the Rupsha River. It is also known as Rupsha Bridge. Everyone will like to walk on Khanjahan Ali Bridge in the afternoon. The bridge has a walkway in addition to a separate lane for rickshaws and vans.
Senhati
Senhati is a village with ancient structures on the banks of the river Bhairab, about seven kilometers from Khulna city. The Dochala Kali Mandir and the ancient Dighi still fascinate everyone here. The temple was built in 1897 by a zamindar named Raja Srikant Roy. Apart from this, the Vijay Chanditala place of this village is also known as a place in memory of King Vijay Sen of the Sen dynasty.
Khulna Museum
The Khulna Museum was established in 1997 at Shivbari corner of the city. The museum is displaying various archeological specimens found in different parts of the country, especially Barbazar in Jhenaidah, Bharat Vaina in Joshar and Khanjahan Alis tomb in Bagerhat.
